DESOTO, Texas — Lanes of the Interstate 35E were shut down early Tuesday morning between Lancaster and DeSoto while police looked into a deadly accident.
DeSoto Police told WFAA that officers were dispatched at around 2 a.m. on June 20 to the southbound lanes of I-35E near Pleasant Run Road.
According to officials, a male pedestrian was running across the highway and was hit by at least two vehicles. He was later pronounced dead.
The pedestrian has not been identified and it is not clear why he was running across the highway, police say.
DeSoto Police investigators were called to investigate and other responding officer had shutdown those southbound lanes. They have since reopened.
No other information was made available.
