DALLAS — Updated at 11:25 a.m. with information on a suspect who has been arrested.
An 18-year-old man died after he was shot Tuesday night at an apartment complex parking lot in Dallas, police said.
Officers responded around 9:45 p.m. to a shooting call on the 4000 block of Preferred Place. When they got there, they found Tremond Spencer lying in the parking lot with a gunshot wound.
Spencer died from his injuries, according to police.
Authorities allege 21-year-old Markelen Jerrel Chance is responsible for the shooting. Chance faces a murder charge in connection with Spencer's death, officials said.
