March Madness in Dallas: Who is playing? How much are tickets?

Here's a look at which teams will be playing in Dallas for the NCAA March Madness tournament.

DALLAS — Two rounds down ... four more to go to crown a national champion.

We've already seen numerous upsets, brackets busted, and plenty of madness this March!

The first and second rounds wrapped up Sunday night, and next up Dallas will play host to the Sweet Sixteen matchups in the South Region. So, who are the teams coming to North Texas with a trip to the Elite Eight in mind?

March Madness 2024: Which teams will play in Dallas?

The American Airlines Center will play host to the South Region's two Sweet Sixteen matchups, one year after being the host of the NCAA Women's Final Four in 2023.

In the first matchup, No. 11 seed NC State, who qualified after upsetting both UNC and Duke en route to the ACC Tournament championship, will face No. 2 seed Marquette, led by former Texas Longhorns head coach Shaka Smart.

NC State upset No. 6 seed Texas Tech in the first round, and defeated No. 14 seed Oakland, who notably knocked out Kentucky and busted a lot of people's brackets. Marquette enters the Sweet Sixteen after beating No. 15 seed Western Kentucky and No. 10 seed Colorado.

In the other South Region game, No. 4 seed Duke will take on No. 1 seed Houston.

Duke made it to their 33rd Sweet Sixteen in program history and first since 2022. The Blue Devils went on to advance to the Final Four that season. Houston, on the other hand, has been one of the nation's top teams all season. This is Houston's fifth straight Sweet Sixteen appearance (there was not a NCAA tournament in 2020 due to COVID-19). The Cougars last made it to the Final Four in 2021.

March Madness in Dallas: How to get tickets? How much do tickets cost?

Tickets are available for purchase on the American Airlines Center website and Ticketmaster. Ticket prices vary, but start will cost you a couple hundred bucks. The lowest price we saw for either game started at $150.

The Dallas Sports Commission says it expects the tournament to generate $14 million in economic impact for Dallas.
