Wednesday's Child 15-year-old A'zaria just wants to feel 'love' and 'wanted' by a forever family

The teen is working hard at treating the little girl inside of her with kindness and compassion.

DALLAS — This 15-year-old Wednesday’s Child is musical, intelligent and wants to become a judge – yes, a judge. She’s carrying a lot of pain she hopes to turn into purpose.

WFAA met up A’zaria at the Dallas Zoo, where the day was all about feeding elephants and feeding her soul.

"I love to sing. That's one thing you should know about me. I love to sing," she said confidently.

A'zaria can consume music all day, especially from one of her favorite singers, Rod Wave. His song "Jupiter's Diary" really speaks to A'zaria. She sang part of the song. Here are the lyrics:

"Wish I didn't have to tell the world about my pain

The songs is all I have, so I sang it. And I'll spend my lifetime

Sendin' paper airplanes to the moon. Praying they get to you."

A'zaria's voice is heavenly.

Here on Earth, a lot of people have failed A'zaria, especially in her childhood. This is why she turned her heart over at a young age to the one who will never fail her.

"I was 12. It was one of those moments where I felt I wanted to be saved. I was at the age that I wanted to give myself to God,” she said.

One day, A'zaria is going to turn her pain into purpose.

"I want to be a judge,” she shared.

Judge Jim Chapman from Ellis County is the reason why. A'zaria said he has motivated her.

Most importantly, A'zaria told WFAA that Judge Chapman is one of the few people in this world who truly sees her.

"I want to say thank you to him because when I met him, I was still on training wheels,” A’zaria said. “I'm still willing to do whatever it takes to become a judge and help other people out there like me."

Chapman taught A'zaria a lesson about grace and how she should also extend it to others, including herself.

"I know I have to take care of the 5-year-old inside of me," she said after a conversation about how to turn things around in her life.

How we talk to ourselves is very important. This resonated with A'zaria. She's going to work hard at treating the little girl inside of her with kindness and compassion and not being so hard on herself.

A'zaria needs a forever family who will do the same. When asked about what she wants to feel at home, she answered, “love,” with tears visible in her eyes.

Keep feeding your soul with grace.
