FORT WORTH, Texas — Updated Thursday at 4:10 p.m. with the victim's ID.
A young man was shot and killed around midnight Wednesday, Fort Worth police said.
Officers responded to a possible shooting call at 1000 Eagle Ridge Drive and found a man who had been shot, according to police.
The victim was identified Thursday as 21-year-old Stanley Charles Jackson III, according to the medical examiner.
Jackson died of a gunshot wound to the face.
There was no suspect in custody as of early Wednesday morning.
Officials did not provide any additional details.
