DALLAS — A driver was found fatally shot after crashing into a Dallas house early Tuesday, police said.
Faneal Tesfit, 25, was identified as the victim, according to a police news release.
The incident happened around 1:30 a.m. in the 2400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, off Interstate 45 south of downtown Dallas.
Police said a call came in about a major accident after neighbors said they saw a car crash into an apartment building. When officers arrived, they found the driver, Tesfit, had been shot, and that he had crashed into an empty house. Police said Tesfit died at the scene.
The vehicle, a white sedan, did not appear to go through the wall of the house, but some damage to the side of the building was visible as police investigated the incident.
