Become a wizard through a real-life Harry Potter experience in North Texas

The experience is open now through January

LITTLE ELM, Texas — The Harry Potter franchise is filled with magic. Unfortunately, fans of the movies can’t just wave a wand and end up in the Forbidden Forest.

But they can buy a ticket to get there.

Alan Skott led the team that designed the "Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience," which is open now through January at Little Elm Park in Little Elm.

“You’re just really getting to go immerse yourself into another world,” said Skott.

The idea came about during COVID when Fever, the company behind the concept, wanted to offer something safe and outdoors. It first opened in four other locations around the world before coming to Little Elm in early November.

For a mile and a half, guests explore the park’s forest, while encountering iconic moments and characters from Harry Potter along the way.

“We really get to bring the magic of the Forbidden Forest to life,” Skott said. “Throughout the walk there will be opportunities to interact with your space.”

Guests can cast spells, encounter creatures and enjoy a magical meal in the Harry Potter inspired village at the end of the journey.

Skott says guests can spend a couple hours or more feeling like they’re right there alongside Harry Potter.

“I guarantee you that by the end of it if you haven’t seen the movies you’re going to want to see them,” Skott said.

Because, he says, guests will want to remember what it’s like to feel magical.

Tickets are available now starting at $44.
