The largest high schools in North Texas, ranked

DALLAS — The University Interscholastic League on Tuesday released enrollment figures from UIL Snapshot Day, giving a look at how many students attend each public school in the state.

The figures will determine the new conference cutoffs for the 2024-2025 school year and 2025-2026 UIL realignment and reclassification, which will be announced on Feb. 1. And, as usual, some of the largest schools in the state are in North Texas.  

So, what are the top 10 schools in North Texas and where do they stand heading into realignment?

Here's a look at the numbers, according to the UIL data, including how those schools gained or lost attendance since the previous realignment:

  • Allen High School: 6,947, down from 7,102 during the 2022-2024 realignment.
  • Plano East High School: 5,346, down from 5,514 during the 2022-2024 realignment.
  • Plano West High School: 5,337.5, up from 5,333 during the 2022-2024 realignment.
  • Duncanville High School: 4,710.5, up from 4,642 during the 2022-2024 realignment. 
  • Plano High School: 4,493, down from 4,694 during the 2022-2024 realignment.
  • Arlington Sam Houston High School: 4,400, up from 4,038 during the 2022-2024 realignment.
  • Coppell High School: 4,364.5 up from 4.213 during the 2022-2024 realignment.
  • Lewisville High School: 4,162, down from 4,285 during the 2022-2024 realignment.
  • Arlington Martin High School: 3,883, up from 3,830 during the 2022-2024 realignment.
  • Dallas Skyline: 3,775, down from 4,297 during the 2022-2024 realignment.
