Woman attacked in parking lot near Hulen Mall

Police said she had just taken a seat in her vehicle when she was approached.

FORT WORTH, Texas — Just ahead of the official start of the holiday shopping season, Fort Worth police are asking for help to find a man they believe attacked a woman in a retail parking lot.

"Grabbed her by the arm, pulled her out of the vehicle," said Sgt. Chris Britt with Fort Worth police.

Police said the woman had just left a David's Bridal Store in the 4400 block of Hulen Park Drive South, right next to the popular Hulen Mall. They said she had just taken a seat in her vehicle when she was approached. "She had started her car, at that point, the suspect came out, pulled her out of her vehicle," said Sgt. Britt. "She did apparently an outstanding job of fighting back against this individual."

Police said the suspect ran off, and good quality images of the suspect were captured on a nearby business's security camera. The incident happened in late September, but police said detectives are releasing the images now because they have not been able to identify a suspect. "The pictures are of good enough quality, if somebody sees this, they're going to recognize him pretty clearly," said Sgt. Brigg.

Employees from the David's Bridal location also rushed to the woman's aid and helped call police. She suffered minor injuries but she is okay.
