Election results: May 4 local elections in North Texas

Voters headed to the polls to make decisions on everything from bond proposals, races for mayor, city council members, school boards, and more.

DALLAS — The polls are closed and results are coming in from local elections across North Texas.

Bond propositions for various Dallas-Fort Worth area cities, including 10 props within a $1.25 billion bond package that voters in the city of Dallas considered, will impact everything from streets, to libraries and more.

Voters in McKinney also weighed in on five bond propositions of their own.

For the first time, voters were also asked this election cycle to choose some of the leaders of local property appraisal review boards. Last year, voters approved a measure to require three of the nine appraisal district board members in the state’s 50 largest counties to be elected rather than appointed. Tarrant County and Dallas were among the Texas counties that had elections for local property appraisal boards on the ballot.

Many cities across North Texas also voted for municipal positions including mayors, city council members and school board members. Track all the results here.
