DALLAS — A man was found fatally shot outside a home in the 1700 block of Mentor Avenue early Saturday, police say.
Police responded to the home shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday for a welfare check and say they found a man unresponsive on the ground outside.
Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and found the man – identified as Christopher Hawkins, 31, had been shot, police say. Hawkins died at the scene.
A SWAT unit executed a search warrant at the home, and no one was found inside, according to police.
