ARLINGTON, Texas — A motorcyclist was killed after crashing into a Nissan Altima early Friday in the 1600 block of S. Collins Street in Arlington, police say.

Police responded to the crash shortly after 1 a.m. and said they found the motorcycle driver, a 38-year-old man, lying unresponsive in the roadway.

Investigators determined the man was traveling northbound on Collins Street and hit the Altima as it was turning from a parking lot onto Collins Street.

“The impact of the collision caused the man to be thrown from the motorcycle,” a news release stated.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the motorcycle driver after the next of kin is notified.

Police say the driver of the Altima remained on scene and is not facing charges right now.

The investigation into the crash remains ongoing. We’ll update this story as additional information becomes available.
