BEDFORD, Texas — Way to go, K-9 Ghost! The Haltom City Police Department says one of its K-9 officers helped in a major drug bust.

According to a post from the department, K9 Ghost helped Bedford police officers seize about 907 grams of methamphetamine and 28 grams of THC wax.

"We would like to give an 'atta boy' to Ghost and his handler as well as the work by Bedford Police Department to get this poison off the streets," the department said on Facebook.

Authorities didn't release details on an arrest but did say a first-degree felony charge holds a punishment of up to 99 years in prison.

"These partnerships with our neighboring police departments build a great network of resources and helps to cast a wider net on criminals no matter where they decide to commit crime," said the department.
