PLANO, Texas — A North Texas police officer was arrested Monday on a charge of solicitation of prostitution, officials confirmed with WFAA.
Carrollton police said one of its officers, Sgt. Muszaab Monier, was arrested by the Plano Police Department on Monday while Monier was off-duty. Plano police told WFAA the arrest happened at approximately 2:30 p.m. Monday in the 2500 block of Central Expressway northbound.
Monier was booked into the Collin County Jail on a charge of solicitation of prostitution.
Monier has been an officer with the Carrollton Police Department since August 2021 and is assigned to Patrol, the department told WFAA. He has been put on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal affairs investigation, Carrollton police said.
No further details about the arrest were immediately available.
