LEWISVILLE, Texas — Three suspects told police they were "bored" when they went on a pellet gun shooting spree and injured several people in Lewisville on Thursday, officials said.

The Lewisville Police Department says 17-year-old Hayden Wolfgang Neuroth, 19-year-old Trebor Joseph Watts and 21-year-old Daniel Ray Vallot were arrested by officers Thursday afternoon.

According to police, the first pellet gun shooting was reported at about 10:50 a.m. in the 1700 block of Circle Creek Drive. A man called 911, saying he had been shot while walking in the neighborhood. He told police a person wearing a mask inside of a gray sedan drove up and shot him.

The victim said the projectile tore through his clothes and penetrated his skin, but the injury was minor and he didn’t go to the hospital, police said.

Then, just before noon, a man in the 1400 block of Reno Street called 911 and reported being shot in the back while he was in his front yard, police said. The victim said the projectile embedded in his skin, and he was bleeding. Police said the victim was transported to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.

A few minutes later, police said a man in the 1400 block of College Parkway called 911 to report a person in a gray sedan firing shots at him as well. The victim said the projectile missed him but shattered the storm door on the front of his home, according to police.

At about 12:37 p.m., police said another call came into 911. This caller told police he was in the 1100 block of Corporate Drive when he was shot in the leg. The victim was transported from the scene to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening injury, police said.

About a minute later, a Lewisville police officer saw a vehicle matching the description of the gray sedan pull into a neighborhood. The officer initiated a traffic stop and the three suspects -- Neuroth, Watts and Vallot -- were taken into custody without further incident, police said.

While searching the vehicle, the arresting officer found two high-powered pellet guns that can fire projectiles up to 1,500 feet per second, police said.

Police said all three suspects confessed to the shooting, and said they were “bored and just fired at people to get a reaction out of them.”

About 30 minutes after the suspects were arrested, police said they received another 911 call involving a pellet gun shooting. The victim told police that he had been shot in the head a short time earlier while walking in the 1400 block of S. Old Orchard. Police said the man went home following the incident, but said he went to the hospital after he noticed he was bleeding. Police said he was transported to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening injury to his neck.

Lewisville PD said that, as the incidents were happening, the department notified Lewisville ISD school resource officers about the shootings due to their randomness. But school campuses were never threatened and the shootings didn’t take place near any of the district’s schools, police said.

Police said all three suspects are facing are charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

No bond has been set at this time.
