Parker County to get its first Costco Wholesale as DFW metro grows west

The Costco, which will be located at the northwest corner of I-20 and Center Point Road, will bring more than 200 jobs to the area.

WEATHERFORD, Texas — Costco Wholesale set its sights on Weatherford as one of the next Parker County suburbs to hit a growth spurt.

The retailer is projected to begin construction in the summer on a 160,000-square-foot store which is expected to be completed by early 2025, according to the press release.

The new facility – the first of its kind in Parker County – will be located at the northwest corner of I-20 and Center Point Road.

Like other Costco warehouse clubs, the store will offer a range of products, including groceries, electronics, furniture and other merchandise.

“It’s no secret that Weatherford and Parker County are growing at an unprecedented rate, and with that comes opportunities. When we look at growth, we seek valuable development that will enhance the quality of life for our residents, and the addition of Costco accomplishes that by bringing quality jobs, a wonderful amenity, and an excellent community partner,” said Mayor Paul Paschall in a statement.

The new Costco location will bring more than 200 jobs to the area, and offer gas, tires, dining, optical and hearing centers, and prescriptions.

“Costco’s decision to expand into Weatherford will also have a positive economic impact generating valuable opportunity for quality businesses and retailers, especially at the I-20 and Center Point Road quadrant,” said Paschall.

The Weatherford location is the westernmost location in Texas to date.
