Creed is going back on tour - and coming to North Texas

The late-90s, early-2000s rock band is going on a reunion tour.

DALLAS — Creed is going back on tour. And no, that's not *just* because of their renewed listenership thanks to the Texas Rangers' "Higher"-fueled playoff run.

But it only makes sense that Creed's reunion tour is indeed making a stop in Dallas, at Dos Equis Pavilion on Sept. 11, 2024, according to a press release from Live Nation on Monday.

Presale tickets begin Tuesday, Oct. 31, and general public sales start Nov. 3 on Creed's website.

The Florida-founded rock band announced their reunion tour in July, before it became known that Creed's songs were a favorite in the Rangers' clubhouse down the stretch of the season.

Then, at least here in North Texas, Creed became all the rage like it was 2002 again. The Rangers blasted Creed during games and even had a singalong to "Higher." Then, in Game 3 of the American League Championship Series, Creed showed up at Globe Life Field to take in a game.

Sports fans in DFW are no stranger to a Creed crossover – with arguably one of the most viral and iconic halftime shows ever performed. During a performance of "Higher" at the Thanksgiving Cowboys game in 2001, an aerialist draped in white sheets flew across Texas Stadium.

Creed also has Texas tour dates in San Antonio (Frost Bank Center) on Sept. 13, 2024, and Houston (Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands) on Sept. 14, 2024.

A rotation of 3 Doors Down, Daughtry, Switchfoot, Tonic, Finger Eleven and Big Wreck will open for Creed on the tour. For the Dallas show, they'll be joined by Switchfoot and Finger Eleven.

Creed's reunion tour starts July 17, 2024, in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
