Scattered showers and storms will continue Thursday

More numerous thunderstorms are possible Thursday morning mainly in eastern and southern North Texas. A few could work their way up into the D-FW area.

During the day on Thursday, showers and storms are most likely across eastern and southern North Texas with more scattered activity from the D-FW area northward.

While any thunderstorms could drop heavy rain and cause localized flooding, the most favored area for highest rain totals through Thursday evening is eastern and southern North Texas.

The rain has continued overnight since Tuesday, where in Denton, videos from viewers on social media showed heavy downpours and high water on roads.

The Northlake Police Department had to close roads due to high water, including Holder Road, Florance Road, Faught Road north of FM 407 and Harmonson Road.
