Rain likely overnight with much colder temperatures this weekend

Showers and storms likely overnight with much cooler temps returning this weekend.

Storms Friday night

Our long awaited cold front is moving through North Texas. This will bring much cooler temps to the entire area by sunrise Saturday.

A round of thunderstorms is also moving across North Texas as well.

4am - Front is almost all the way thru DFW. Much cooler temps are here to stay for the weekend. Rain will continue moving south/east with DFW looking dry by sunrise. #wfaaweather

This Weekend

By sunrise Saturday, the bulk of the rain will be across eastern and southeastern North Texas. Some lingering showers will be possible for D-FW through the morning hours.

The cold front that is bringing the rain will also bring much cooler temps. Saturday will be cloudy, windy and much cooler. Afternoon temps on Saturday will only be in the 40s to low 50s.

Chilly weather will continue on Sunday as well. A mostly cloudy and chilly day is in store with highs only in the upper 40s to low 50s.
