The severe weather threat is over for North Texas

The tornado watch has been cancelled and skies will clear for the rest of the day

DALLAS — Stick with WFAA and the WFAA app for continuing coverage of storms this week, including updates throughout Daybreak on Thursday morning with meteorologist Greg Fields.

More storms are in the forecast over the next couple of days with additional chances for severe storms as well.

Much warmer Mother's Day Weekend

This active pattern looks to wind down late week and into the holiday weekend.

But temps will climb. Highs 90° or above look likely through the weekend. Mother's day could be even record warm with highs in the mid to upper 90s.

It'll be dry, but very warm for this time of the year for any Mother's Day celebrations.
