Last days of 2023

Nothing to worry about this weekend and the last days of 2023.

Chilly mornings will be followed by mild afternoons. Highs on Saturday will reach the 60s for most of North Texas with plenty of sunshine to go around.

On Sunday a cold front will sag down into North Texas keeping the northern half of the area a little cooler and highs in the 50s. Places along and ahead of the front, including DFW, will be warmer with highs in the 60s again.

That front will not bring any rain, but it will bring cooler temps for the new year.

New Year's Eve

You'll need to stay warm, but that's typical for any NYE celebrations.

The night will be dry and temps will be in the 50s during the evening falling into the 40s heading toward midnight.

14-day forecast

The new year will start off cooler with highs around 50° and afternoon temps in the upper 40s and low 50s will be the trend for the 1st week of January. A couple disturbances will bring chances for showers Tuesday (mostly evening/night) and then again Friday into Saturday. As of now, temps look too warm for wintry weather, but we're always monitoring this time of year!
