Versión en Español: ¡La primavera regresa esta semana!

Quick Facts:

  • Above normal this week and this weekend
  • Rain chances stay away through the weekend
  • A week cold front late this week

Warmest in months!

Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon hit 81° out at DFW Airport! That's the warmest afternoon since back on November 8th of last year! Tuesday and Wednesday were not record highs, but definitely above normal.

Interestingly, DFW averages its first 80° day of the year on February 15th, so the 80s on Tuesday/Wednesday were around 5 days behind average.

Spring-like temps continue

Temps will be SLIGHTLY cooler on Thursday behind a front, but this will be no arctic blast. In fact, you may not even really notice it is much cooler than the last couple of days. You are more likely to notice the drier air during the afternoon after a humid morning.

You will notice a bit more of a cool-down on Friday, but even then, a high of around 70° is above normal for this point in February.

Temps quickly climb this weekend with highs in the 70s Saturday and around 80° on Sunday. It's looking even warmer to start next week with low to mid 80s! Tuesday could even be near a record high as well.

Pollen

Gusty winds will help keep mountain cedar and other tree pollen levels to stay in the moderate to high category this week into the weekend. Mountain cedar pollen season generally ends at the end of February into early March.
