HASLET, Texas — Avondale-Haslet Road is closed off in Haslet in Tarrant County due to a train that derailed early Monday morning.
According to city officials, three empty train cars derailed at about 6 a.m.
Officials say the train cars are not a danger to the public, but the road will be closed for several hours as crews work to get the train back on the track.
Haslet officials said school buses with Northwest ISD could be rerouted due to the closure.
As of 8 a.m. Monday, there is no estimate on when the road will reopen.
