SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Cowboys star running back Tony Pollard was ruled out of the game with an injury after leaving the field shortly before halftime against the San Francisco 49ers, the Cowboys announced.

Pollard was seen being helped off the field by two Cowboys athletic trainers and then into the blue medical tent on the Dallas sideline. After several minutes in the tent, he was then seen on the FOX broadcast being carted off the field and into the Cowboys locker room

Pollard's left leg appeared to get rolled up on as he got tackled with shortly less than two minutes left in the half.

The Cowboys had just converted a fourth down with a run by quarterback Dak Prescott.

After Pollard left the game, Prescott tried to force a pass into double coverage and was picked off by the 49ers.
