Yes, the Dallas Cowboys are underdogs against the San Francisco 49ers. Here's by how much.

The sportsbooks have the Cowboys as an underdog in the NFC Divisional round, but another metric predicts a Cowboys win.

DALLAS — After Dallas dominated Tampa Bay in the Wild Card round, the Cowboys danced their way into a Texas two-step with the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Divisional Round.

The 49ers are arguably the league's hottest team, with the numbers to show for it, too. San Francisco traded for running back Christian McCaffery days before losing to the Chiefs in Week 7. They've won every game ever since (11 straight – longest active streak in the league) with one of the NFL's best defenses in that timeframe.

So, understandably, Dallas are underdogs in the next round against San Francisco.

According to the sportsbooks, Dallas was four-point underdogs as of Tuesday morning. This spread could move by half a point or a point throughout the week as injury news or other news develops, but Dallas will enter the game as road underdogs.

The over/under for the game, as of Tuesday morning, was set at 46 points.

Despite being an underdog in the eyes of the oddsmakers, the ESPN Football Power Index (FPI) predicts the Cowboys will win the game. ESPN's FPI gives Dallas a 52.1% chance to win the game.

The Cowboys did not play the 49ers this season, but Cowboys Nation surely won't forget what occurred in the playoffs last year. After the 23-17 loss with the late game time management issues front of mind, getting revenge on the 49ers – especially with their 90s history – makes for a storybook road to the Super Bowl.

The game is scheduled for next Sunday, Jan. 22, at 5:30 p.m. CT. at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
