DALLAS — The Mavericks will have the Dallas skyline prominently displayed for DeAndre Jordan's first trip to the city he famously spurned in the offseason.

Mavs owner Mark Cuban created a jersey design competition in 2013. The jersey featuring the skyline, designed by Dallas native Geoff Case, won that contest.

The new jersey will be worn 20 times during the 2015-16 season, the team announced. The Mavs will wear them at the American Airlines Center Wednesday and on Feb. 5 against San Antonio, as well as 18 times on the road.

A version of the jersey was unveiled at the Mavs' New Player Conference in September 2014 that was missing the iconic Reunion Tower. Cuban confirmed in a Twitter exchange thereafter that the first jersey was a "mock-up" and the official alternate jerseys would feature the 50-story tower.

Case's contest winner, picked as the best among over 1,000 entries, makes its debut Wednesday night against DeAndre Jordan and the Los Angeles Clippers.

The jerseys are on sale exclusively at Mavs Hangar locations, the team said.
