Initially, Dallas was set to not wear white at all against the Timberwolves. Then, the jersey schedule changed and now they'll wear it once.

Dallas is set to wear their black jerseys in Games 2 and 6. Will Game 6 be the Timberwolves' funeral like it was for the Clippers and Thunder?

DALLAS โ€” When the jersey designations for the Western Conference Finals between the Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves were initially released, Dallas was set to wear navy or black every game.

Minnesota was going to wear white every game. Hours before Game 1, the jersey schedule was updated to have Dallas wear white in Game 5 while Minnesota wore their gray and neon green jerseys. The interesting trend, however, is Dallas wearing the black jerseys in Game 6 every series during this playoff run.

Mavs fans have noted that Game 6 served as the "funeral" for Dallas' opponent, as the team has closed out each series in Game 6 while donning black. So, when the jersey schedule was announced, fans welcomed the black jersey assignment in Game 6.
