Here are the North Texas schools fighting for a state soccer championship

There are a handful of North Texas teams in the UIL state semifinals -- on both the boy's and girl's brackets.

GEORGETOWN, Texas — The UIL state soccer tournament  for the boys and girls teams kick off Wednesday, April 10, and runs through Saturday, April 13. 

The tournament is being held at the Georgetown ISD Athletic Complex in Georgetown, Texas. North Texas has numerous teams competing on both the boy's and girl's brackets. Here is a breakdown of which schools are competing in their respective divisions:

4A girls semifinals 

  • Celina vs. Lumberton -- 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 10 

5A girls semifinals

  • Colleyville Heritage vs. Pflugerville Hendrickson -- 9:30 am Thursday, April 11
  • Frisco Wakeland vs. Leander Rouse -- 12 p.m. Thursday, April 11

5A boys semifinals

  • Frisco Wakeland vs. Leander Glenn -- 5 p.m. Thursday, April 11
  • Midlothian vs. Baytown Goose Creek Memorial -- 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 11

6A girls semifinals 

  • Rockwall vs. Austin Westlake -- 9:30 a.m. Friday, April 12
  • Prosper vs. Katy Seven Lakes -- 12 p.m. Friday, April 12

6A boys semifinals 

  • Duncanville vs. Katy Seven Lakes -- 5 p.m. Friday, April 12
  • Lewisville Flower Mound vs. Austin Vandegrift -- 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 12

4A girls final

  • TBD -- 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 11

5A girls final

  • TBD -- 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13    

5A boys final

  • TBD -- 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 13

6A girls final

  • TBD -- 4 p.m. Saturday, April 13

6A boys final

  • TBD -- 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 13
