Deion Sanders is readying a return to Texas high school football with a coaching return at Triple A Academy, which won the UIL state boys basketball Class A state championship in 2013.

Triple A is in UIL District 10-4A in multiple sports but not football. Triple A likely would have to build an independent schedule for the 2015 season but could be added to a UIL schedule during February's realignment for the 2016-17 and 2017-18 academic years.

For this season, Triple A has scheduled three games including against defending TAPPS Division II state champion Parish Episcopal on Oct. 16.

Parish Episcopal coach Scott Nady told The Dallas Morning News that he expected to play many of the same players who played for Sanders at Prime Prep, which closed in the spring. Parish split games with Sanders' Prime Prep teams in the charter school's first two seasons. Nady and Sanders are longtime friends. The DMN reported Triple A also has scheduled games against Houston St. Pius and Central-Phenix City in Alabama.

Even as Prime Prep closed after a 9-2 record last season while winning the TCAL state championship, Sanders has maintained a high-profile coaching at youth camps. Deion's son Shilo Sanders is considered one of the top Class of 2019 high school prospects.
