Thief swipes $300,000 Ferrari from Highland Park driveway, leaves his Suburban behind

The Ferrari – a 2018 white, GTC4 Lusso "T" – was stolen from a home in the 3500 block of Beverly Drive about 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 4, the car's owner told police.

A thief traded in his Chevrolet Suburban for a $300,000 Ferrari sitting in the driveway of a home in Highland Park last week, according to a police report.

The Ferrari – a 2018 white, GTC4 Lusso "T" – was stolen from a home in the 3500 block of Beverly Drive about 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 4, the car's owner told police.

Surveillance video showed a man pull up to the home in a 2007 Suburban, park and walk over to the Ferrari, which had the keys inside and was parked on the side driveway of the home. The suspect then appeared to be "figuring out how to start the vehicle" before driving away, leaving the Suburban behind on the street, the police report said.

Police found an open Michelob Ultra beer can in the front console of the Suburban, and the SUV had damage on right front quarter and right rear quarter. The Suburban was registered to a man in Fort Worth, but the police report did not say whether the man was the suspect.
