FORT WORTH, Texas — Two men who were shot at a Home Depot parking lot in south Fort Worth as they tried to rob someone later died at the hospital, police said.
The shooting happened shortly before 10:30 p.m. at the Home Depot in the 7900 block of South Freeway, along Interstate 35W.
Officers arrived and found the two men wounded, police said. One man had ran toward the Home Depot building and collapsed. The other man had ran toward a nearby Whataburger, where he also collapsed.
Both men were taken to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead, police said.
Investigators believe that the men were in the process of robbing an unknown person when they were shot, based on evidence at the scene, according to police. Their names have not been released.
Detectives were still investigating the shooting Friday.
