Texas woman killed in Wylie crash, officials say

WYLIE, Texas — An 84-year-old woman was killed in a crash on Texas Highway 78 in Wylie, police said in a release. 

Jean Flynn was identified as the woman who died, according to the release.

Wylie police said the crash happened around 2 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Highway 78 and Eubanks Lane. When officers arrived at the scene, they found two vehicles with three total occupants had crashed on the road.

The investigation revealed a silver Honda CRV was traveling westbound on 78. When it turned to go south on Eubanks Lane, it was struck by a silver Dodge Ram pulling a trailer eastbound on 78.

Flynn was a passenger in the Honda CRV, police said. She died at the scene as a result of the collision, police said.

Wylie Fire and Rescue tended to the survivors and took them to regional hospitals, police said.

This crash is being investigated by the department’s Accident Investigation Team, Wylie police said.
