FORT WORTH, Texas — A tow truck driver was killed after being struck by his towing truck early Monday on Interstate 35W.
Officers responded shortly after 3 a.m. to the southbound lanes of I-35W at Highway 170, Fort Worth police said.
A tow truck driver pulled over to the service road and tried to secure a vehicle that he was towing from a nearby apartment complex. The tow truck started moving and hit the driver.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said they are continuing to investigate.
