ARLINGTON, Texas — A parent visiting a student at Arlington ISD’s Webb Elementary School was arrested Wednesday afternoon after security staff found a gun on him, police say.

Police say they responded to the campus in the 1300 block of North Cooper Street at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

“The man told officers he is a CHL holder and forgot that he had it on him. It does not appear that he ever displayed the gun while at the school,” Arlington police said in a statement.

The parent, Marcus Glover, 31, was arrested on a complaint of unlawfully carrying a weapon in prohibited places and booked into the Arlington city jail, police said.
