WEATHERFORD -- A small plane crashed Thursday afternoon a few yards from the runway of Parker County Airport in Weatherford.
The Cessna 182 skidded off the north end of the runway and flipped upside down before coming to a rest in the grass between the runway and the frontage road of Interstate 20 just before 3 p.m.
News 8's Jim Douglas said the pilot was able to walk away from the crash. The Department of Public Safety confirmed the pilot was a 66-year-old man from Weatherford, and he was uninjured.
