DALLAS — A police chase that started in Rockwall ended on Interstate 635 in Balch Springs on Wednesday morning, officials said.
Balch Springs police officials confirmed the chase stopped in their city, on 635 at Elam Road, and that their officers helped with traffic control as police got the suspect out of the vehicle.
The chase, which ended around 7:30 a.m., had started in Rockwall, but more information about the suspect and why the chase started was not immediately available.
The chase went from Rockwall into the city of Fate, where police and Rockwall County Sheriff's Office deputies decided to continue the pursuit, Balch Springs police said. The chase ultimately came to an end on 635, causing traffic delays in the area as police investigated the incident.
Lanes were cleared and back to normal by 9 a.m.
