Wednesday's Child 11-year-old Aiden has a love for cars and wants to put foster care in his rearview mirror

Aiden has been in foster care since 2019 and wants to turn his attention to serving others in the future by becoming a paramedic.

RIVER OAKS, Texas — A poet once said, "We do not remember days, we remember moments."

Today's Wednesday's Child 11-year-old Aiden hopes our recent adventure with him will lead to the moment he's been waiting for - to be adopted.

Aiden really likes cars and the River Oaks Spring Fest Car Club hosted a private event at Grumps Burgers specifically for him.

"It was actually pretty cool. I liked it," said Aiden who found himself in car heaven. Everywhere he looked, there were bright, shiny, and loud vehicles.

"I like some of the cars which are like the old school cars," he said with a big smile.

Aiden's advocates call him funny and goofy. Most of all, they say he is authentic. WFAA asked Aiden if he wanted to be adopted and he did not hesitate.

"Yes," he said. "Because I want a good family."

Aiden has been in foster care since 2019 and wants to put the experience in his rearview mirror.

"Just being in a foster home and stuff like that is kind of tough and I always cry about my mom because I'm not with her and my siblings. I got split up from my siblings," he said.

Aiden loves and misses his biological family but is ready for loving and reassuring parents to adopt him. He wants to hear his future parents encourage him by saying "Good job."

Aiden's advocates did an amazing job creating a special moment and teaching him an important lesson.

"You should always pay attention on the road," he said.

Aiden wants to turn his attention to serving others in the future.

"I want to become a paramedic so I can save lives," he said proudly.

Aiden told WFAA he would turn the pain from his childhood into purpose by helping and encouraging others.

"We're always here for you. No matter what happens," he said about what he will tell people who are suffering.

Words of wisdom from an 11-year-old boy who hopes his next big special moment is the one where he meets his forever family.
