Man calls 911 after shooting his neighbor, Arlington police say

A homicide investigation is underway after a man claims he shot and killed his neighbor Thursday morning in Arlington.

Arlington police said officers were called shortly before 3 a.m. to the 6600 block of Sprucewood Lane, near North Little School Road. 

When officers arrived, they found a man shot to death. At this time, it's unknown what led to the shooting.

Investigators were told that the victim entered an apartment of one of his neighbors when he fired the shots. The man then contacted police and waited for them to arrive. Police said he is cooperating with officials.

The case is expected to head to the Tarrant County Grand Jury for review, police said.
