Fatal auto-pedestrian accident at SH 199 and Ten Mile Azle Road Road in Tarrant County

TARRANT COUNTY, Texas — The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian accident that occurred Thursday night in Tarrant County.

Officers were dispatched to the major accident at about 8:40 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 199 and Ten Mile Azle Road, police said.

Officers found a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle upon arrival, police said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the victim's identity will be determined by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office pending notification of next of kin.
