Ex-Dallas Cowboy Darren McFadden formally charged with DWI, resisting arrest at Whataburger in January

Collin County court documents show that McFadden is now charged with resisting arrest and with DWI for a blood alcohol concentration of >0.15.

Former Dallas Cowboy running back Darren McFadden has now been formally charged in a January 2019 incident where police found him asleep at the wheel in a McKinney Whataburger drive-thru.

Collin County court documents show that McFadden is now charged with resisting arrest and with DWI for a blood alcohol concentration of >0.15.

McFadden's court date is scheduled for Oct. 10.

McFadden, who played college football at the University of Arkansas, retired from the NFL in November 2017 after a 7-year career. He played his final three seasons with the Cowboys, rushing for 1,089 yards and catching 40 passes in 2015.
