Dude Perfect to open new headquarters in Frisco with another project on the way

As Dude Perfect's fame continues to grow, so does their approach to making content. And soon, the group is hoping to allow the younger generation to give it a shot.

FRISCO, Texas — The viral entertainment group known as Dude Perfect is set to open another new headquarters in North Texas with a plan to expand even more with something they've never done before.

Tyler Toney, Garret Hilbert, Cody Jones, Cory Cotton and Coby Cotton are the five Texas men who make up Dude Perfect, a sports and comedy group that became famous on YouTube in the early 2010s thanks to their crazy sports trick shots that they shot while attending Texas A&M.

"We had no intention of starting a brand of a business or anything like that," Toney said. "The brand is growing even beyond the five of us."

This quintet is about to move 10 minutes up the road from its current Frisco headquarters on All Star Avenue to a $3 million, 36-square-foot location on Gateway Drive. Toney said this location is a "more well-thought-out designed studio space" that will allow them to do more with their video work.

"It makes it kind of fantasy-factory feel," Toney said.

Even though this group has 16 billion views on YouTube along with 60 million subscribers, the focus is no longer just content creation. Dude Perfect has also gone on tours, opened a merchandise store and most recently, teamed up with the Dallas-based company, Smoothie King, to make the group's limited-edition smoothie.

"Finding the common ground between parents and kids can be a challenge and Dude Perfect's universal appeal is something everyone can enjoy," said Marianne Radley, Chief Marketing Officer of Smoothie King. “It’s in this spirit that we set out to launch a delicious smoothie that both parents and kids can agree on. We also loved the fact that the Dudes are authentic fans of the brand and are some of our top Healthy Rewards loyalty members!”

Dude Perfect joined Smoothie King members at its Dallas HQ Test Kitchen for a smoothie-making competition where all five guys tried to make the best blend—but only one member's concoction was the winner.

The Dude Perfect Smoothie features a blend of pineapples, bananas, kiwi apple juice blend, protein blend, vanilla frozen yogurt, turbinado and blue spirulina.

"People always ask us if we think it's the best job in the world, and I think our honest answer would be yes," Coby Cotton said.

And for Coby Cotton's identical twin, he said he has been shocked by the number of people who have come out to their live shows.

"That has been unbelievable to see people come in person and just to see families flooding in and selling out all of these places," Cory Cotton said. "It's really humbling."

But beyond Dude Perfect's headquarters, brand and partnerships, these dudes, now all dads, are already working on their next project: A theme park (sort of).

Dude Perfect is currently talking to investors about building a family entertainment space that would allow kids to try their own trick shots and have fun just like they have the past 15 years.

"A place where families will be able to come to and experience a lot of the Dude Perfect things that they've watched in videos and they've seen us do over the years but they'd be able to actually try them in person," Toney said.

"While we've had a lot of fun and people get to watch us have fun, we want to create ways for the families who watch to experience that fun together," Coby Cotton said. "We want these next 15 years of Dude Perfect to be creating things that families can truly have we've had while we've been able to do these fun things. Clearly, God had something bigger in mind for Dude Perfect than we did when we started a long time ago in that college station backyard."

While they aren't sure yet of the location of this potential entertainment destination, they all are hoping it's in Texas.

"We're all Texas boys, we grew up here," Toney said. "There's a very short list of places that we would move outside of Texas."
