DALLAS — Two Dallas police officers were injured after they were dragged by a vehicle they were approaching in North Dallas early Sunday, officials said.

The officers were responding around 6 a.m. to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 5500 block of Alpha Road, near Montfort Road, according to a police news release. The vehicle was reported to be parked and running at a business but it wasn't moving, police said.

When officers approached the vehicle, the suspect drove away, dragging and injuring the officers, police said.

The officers were taken to a hospital for treatment and then released. They were expected to be OK. No arrests have been made in the incident. Police were still searching for the suspect later Sunday.
