Dallas police 911 call taker arrested on family violence charge, officials say

ARLINGTON, Texas — A Dallas Police Department 911 call taker was arrested on a domestic violence charge in Arlington on Saturday, police officials said.

Jennifer Hannon faces a Class A misdemeanor charge of family violence in the case, according to a statement from the Dallas Police Department.

She was off-duty when Arlington police arrested her. More information about the case was not released.

Hannon has worked for the Dallas Police Department since December 2017, according to police. She is assigned to the department's communications division.

Police officials placed Hannon on administrative leave, pending the outcome of an internal affairs investigation.
