North Texas hospitals welcome the first babies of 2024

DALLAS — The newest North Texans made their arrivals mere minutes into the new year Monday morning.

Texas Health Resources announced the births of several babies at their hospitals in the early morning hours of 2024. Methodist Health also announced the birth of a baby boy at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center.

Medical City Arlington saw the earliest birth (that we know, so far) when newborn Naomi arrived to the Samuel family at 12:07 a.m. She weighed six pounds and eight ounces, according to Medical City.

Annsley Roberts was also among the first 2024 babies in North Texas, arriving at 12:23 a.m. at Texas Health Frisco. Her parents are Amy and Jonathan Roberts. Annsley weighed in at six pounds and 10 ounces.

Over in Fort Worth, Autumn and Joel Martinez welcomed a baby boy, Joel Jr., at 12:45 a.m. at Texas Health Fort Worth. Little Joel weighed seven pounds and four ounces.

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center welcomed the birth of Clayton at 1:10 a.m. Clayton weighed in at six pounds and four ounces. His parents are Colby Adair and Julie Rowe.

Babies Ma'Kai Jashawn Dears, who was born at 2:43 a.m. at Texas Health Southwest, and Francesca Pisciotti, who was born at 4:15 a.m. at Texas Health HEB, were two more 2024 newborns announced by Texas Health.
