DALLAS — Two people are dead after being hit by a car while standing on Dallas North Tollway early Saturday morning, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

A DPS press release says the crash was reported at about 2 a.m. in the tollway's northbound lanes near Forest Lane.

Officials say the two victims were driving separately when a crash occurred with their vehicles. The two had exited their vehicles and were standing in the roadway when they were struck by a third vehicle, according to Texas DPS.

The victims were identified as 24-year-old Kendrella Baldwin from Dallas and 28-year-old Nathan Hattox from Addison. Both were taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead.

The third driver was not injured, according to officials. WFAA has reached out for possible charges.

No other information is available at this time.
