Dallas Fire-Rescue mourning one of their own

DALLAS — Dallas Fire-Rescue announced on its Facebook page the passing of one of its members.

The department said Quinton White died Feb. 1 while off-duty. White was a Firefighter/Paramedic and served the city of Dallas for more than six years.

"Please keep his family, and the members of Dallas Fire-Rescue, in your thoughts and prayers as they grieve his loss and search for closure," the post read.

The cause of White's death was not immediately available. DFR said the circumstances surrounding his passing are "under investigation."

White is survived by his wife and children. The department said support and counseling are being arranged for his family as well as his DFR brothers and sisters.
