In quiet McKinney, over 30 windows have been shot out with a BB gun since January

Since January, police records show more than 30 incidents were a person armed with a BB gun shot out a window. The good news in Green’s case is that his security camera captured the moment it happened.

MCKINNEY, Texas — Forty-five minutes north of Dallas you’ll find McKinney, a quiet suburb that’s even quieter in the rain. That’s why the pop that shattered his window was such a surprise to Brandon Green.

“We’re just kind of waiting until it falls, there’s no saving it at this point," Green said, pointing at the damage window.

Lockout Industries is a family owned gym in town. Green was working the floor last night when a member told him someone had driven by and shot at the window.

“You could kind of hear everything spider webbing and that’s when I kind of moved everybody," Green said.

McKinney police are investigating and it turns out this isn’t the only case. Since January, police records show more than 30 incidents where a person armed with a BB gun shot out a window. The good news in Green’s case is that his security camera captured the moment it happened.

“It kind of just blew my mind that that’s what people are going out and doing nowadays," Green said. "Thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars in damages are going across these businesses and they’re left kind of picking up the reproductions of it."

Police are asking anyone with information to come forward and say they have more than one person of interest.

That’s good news to Green and his fellow business owners who says he’s eager to find out who’s behind this act of vandalism that’s proven to be both scary and expensive.

“You just have to kind of take it how it is and hope that the police catch these people," Green said.
