North Texas school districts delaying graduations because of weather

With storms in the forecast, some school districts are delaying graduations. Here are the districts impacted and their plans.

DALLAS — Several North Texas school districts are delaying graduations Friday because of storms in the area. 

Storms are possible throughout Memorial Day weekend. Here are the school districts impacted and their weather graduation plans:

  • Aledo ISD is delaying their graduation. Aledo ISD’s graduation will be moved from 8 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Buchanan Stadium.
  • Allen ISD will delay the Allen High School graduation until 8:30 p.m. 
  • Corsicana ISD pushed the graduation to 9 a.m. tomorrow at Community National Bank & Trust of Texas Stadium.
  • Carroll ISD in Southlake’s graduation will be delayed by an hour. Gates will open at Dragon Stadium at 7:30 p.m. and the ceremony will begin at 8:30 p.m.
  • Richardson ISD has delayed Berkner High School’s graduation until 8:30 p.m.
  • Sherman ISD is delaying graduation until 8 p.m. with gates opening at 7:30 p.m.  
  • Waxahachie ISD has delayed Waxahachie High School's graduation until 10 p.m. with gates opening at 9 p.m.
