MARCH 3, 2015: Three people were shot during a fight at a Fort Worth IHOP.

FORT WORTH -- Gunfire sent people scrambling for safety at a Fort Worth IHOP Tuesday night.

It started with a fight at the restaurant on Altamesa Boulevard, which spilled into the parking lot. Shots were fired and three people were hit. Witnesses ran inside to hide.

One witness says IHOP was filled with families who were enjoying free pancakes on National Pancake Day.

"I was very, very afraid, I was just like under the table, like just holding him real tight.. like up under me, " witness Jade Smith said. "Cause I didn't know if the gunmen was gonna run in.. cause like so many people was coming in.. and I heard people say 'oh he's shot, he's shot.'"

One of the victims is hospitalized but stable. Two 17-year-olds who were hit are expected to be okay.

Police are now questioning a man seen driving away from the area.
