FORNEY, Texas — The Forney Police Department says one person was arrested Wednesday in connection with a shooting that injured one person.
Taziria Sims of Dallas was arrested Wednesday on a second-degree felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, police say. Sims is being held at the Forney City Jail awaiting arraignment, according to police.
The shooting happened just before 9:30 p.m. Jan. 6 near the 100 block of Lonesome Dove Lane.
When officers arrived on scene, they found a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition, according to police.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
